Packaging

Spilucco uses two different packaging processes based on the type of products purchased:

• Packaging of non-perishable products : die-cut white box, made of recycled microtriple cardboard. Cardboard is made from a double corrugation system enclosed between two paper surfaces called covers. This feature makes it possible to give greater resistance and overall solidity to the structure of the packaging. To keep the main packaging clean and avoid any external contact, the box is covered with a white stretch film, easy to remove before introducing it inside the house.
• Packaging of perishable products (meat, cured meats, cheeses, dairy products) :

  Die-cut white box, made of recycled microtriple cardboard. Cardboard is made from a double corrugation system enclosed between two paper surfaces called covers. This feature makes it possible to give greater resistance and overall solidity to the structure of the packaging. Inside we insert the "TempGuard" system , a refrigerated thermally insulated Kraft paper packaging, where all its components are 100% recycled and recyclable in paper. To keep the main packaging clean and avoid any external contact, the box is covered with a white stretch film, easy to remove before placing it in the home.

Controlled temperature

For the shipment of perishable products we have chosen a certified green packaging system for food products which involves the use of the "TempGuard" system, the 100% recyclable thermal insulation cushion in paper for a controlled, innovative, ecological, environmentally friendly shipment at a controlled temperature. 'environment . This must be thermostated using the Recycold cold accumulators (refrigerating unit) in quantities adequate to preserve the quality of the products for at least 48 hours in the case of national shipments, 72 hours for non-international shipments.

The thermo-insulating cushions are internal coverings that we insert inside our cardboard box to obtain optimal thermal insulation, guaranteeing the internal temperature for up to 48 hours and beyond thanks to the insertion of Recycold cold accumulators (refrigerating unit) designed to release the cold over time. Thanks to their composition of kraft paper and recycled and pressed paper fibre, they combine internal temperature control with effective absorption of humidity and condensation.

COLD ACCUMULATORS _

Recycold cold accumulators ensure the maintenance of the cold chain during the handling, storage and transport of perishable products (e.g. fresh, frozen foods) and in general for all goods subject to the directives (Legislative Decree 26 May 1997, n. . 155 J "Implementation of Directives 93/43/EEC and 96/3/EC concerning the hygiene of food products"). Non-toxic and easy to use with European Union certification and American FDA directives.

They can be reused numerous times before being disposed of as municipal waste at the end of their life cycle. Recycled cold accumulators are available in two versions; we chose the large format for temperatures from +0° (fresh products). The cold accumulators are placed in refrigerators and frozen at -18°. If necessary, they are taken from them and placed together with the products in the packages to be sealed and shipped. All cold accumulators from the Recycled line can be stored in any freezer. The freezing time is 24 hours.
