GHIZZANO ESTATE
Company The Tenuta di Ghizzano is located in the municipality of Peccioli in Val d'Era, owned by the ancient Venerosi Pesciolini family (settled in Ghizzano in the 15th century) in the residential villa which is now the home of the company. Story The estate has always produced organic wine and oil with an internal cellar and oil mill; in 1995 Ginevra brought her passion to the farm, modernizing it and transforming it into organic and biodynamic, continuing the tradition of the ancestors for care for the land and nature. Work 280 hectares of estate of which 18 are vineyards and 15 are olive groves in a hilly landscape with a mild climate. Consistent with organic principles, only organic fertilizers are used, no chemical herbicides and the soil is checked to check for the presence of weeds. The soil nourished with the practice of green manure and the equipment used to a minimum in the cellar to maintain the artisan tradition. The white and red wines fall into the Costa Toscana IGT and the Terre di Pisa DOC.
